Every tool page and guide on this site is written, checked and maintained by the ToolJagat Editorial Team, part of Emmanova Digital. This page explains how we work.

What the team does

The ToolJagat Editorial Team is responsible for everything you read on ToolJagat: the calculators, the explanations around them, the guides, the FAQs and the data files that hold rates and rules. We decide which tools to build (only ones people in India actually need), write the content in English and in natural Hindi, test every calculation, and keep every page current.

We publish as a team, under this one name. There are no individual bylines, photos or personal profiles on the site, because the value of a page lies in its sources and its testing, not in who typed it. Editorial responsibility rests with Emmanova Digital, 26, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow, U.P., India, 226301.

How we choose and check sources

  • Official first. Tax slabs, small-savings interest rates, RBI directions, scheme rules and statutes are taken only from the issuing body: Government of India notifications and office memoranda, regulator websites (RBI, SEBI), India Code for Acts, and the official gazette. We never write a legal or financial figure from memory.
  • Primary over secondary. News reports, bank pages and blogs may point us to a change, but the page is updated only after we have read the primary document, and that document is what we link.
  • Recorded in the code. Every data file carries the source title, source URL, the date it took effect and the date we verified it. The "Sources & verification" box on each page shows the same links and the "Last verified" date.
  • Formulas from the standard. Where a calculation follows a widely used standard formula (EMI, SIP future value, compound interest), we state the formula on the page and show a worked example produced by the tool's own function, so the explanation and the calculator can never disagree.

Drafting with AI, publishing after human review

We use AI tools to help draft explanations, FAQs and code. Nothing is published on the strength of an AI draft. Every fact, rate, rule and worked example in a draft is checked by a human editor against the official source or the tool's tested output before the page goes live. AI does not choose a rate, interpret a rule or decide what advice to give. If a draft contains a figure we cannot trace to a source, the figure is removed.

Testing

Each calculation is a small, pure function with automated tests whose expected values were checked by hand. A failing test blocks publication of the whole site. Every tool is also checked on a 360-pixel-wide phone, with a keyboard, and for speed and accessibility before it is merged.

Updates

  • Rates that change on a schedule (for example small-savings rates, revised every quarter) carry a "review by" date in our data file, and the page is re-verified before that date.
  • When a rule or rate changes, we update the data file, the page text and the "Last updated" date, and record the change in the changelog.
  • Pages are re-read periodically even when nothing has changed, so that stale wording is caught.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, write to [email protected] with the page URL and, if you can, the source you are relying on. We check the report against the official source, fix the page promptly, update the "Last verified" date and, for material errors, note the correction on the page and in the changelog. We do not edit pages to favour any product, lender or advertiser; see the editorial policy.
